Empowering Women Through Digitalisation Conference

It was a great honor to be invited to speak at the Penang Women Chamber of Commerce (PWCC)’s “Empowering Women Through Digitilisation” conference on the topic of Women Entrepreneurship In The Digital Era. This conference, sponsored by the EXCO for Social Development and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs, Penang, was an important platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities facing women in the digital world.
As a woman entrepreneur, I had experienced firsthand the unique challenges and opportunities that came with building a business in the digital age. On one hand, the internet and technology made it easier than ever for women to start and grow their own businesses. With the click of a button, we could access a global market, connect with customers and clients, and access a wealth of information and resources.
On the other hand, the digital landscape could also be a daunting place for women entrepreneurs. We may have faced more competition and scrutiny online, and may have struggled to break through the “glass ceiling” that often holds women back in traditional business settings.
Despite these challenges, I believed that the digital era presented an incredible opportunity for women to build successful businesses and achieve economic independence. By harnessing the power of technology and the internet, we could create new products and services, reach new markets, and build networks of support and mentorship.
In my talk at the PWCC conference, I explored the various ways in which women entrepreneurs could leverage the digital age to their advantage. I discussed the importance of building a strong online presence, including creating a website and social media accounts, and offered tips on how to use these tools to market and grow a business. Most importantly, given the limited resources, I discussed on which one platform women entrepreneurs can start with.
I also delved into the importance of networking and collaboration in the digital age. With the rise of online communities and networking platforms, it was easier than ever for women entrepreneurs to connect with like-minded individuals and build supportive relationships. By collaborating with other women entrepreneurs, we could share knowledge and resources, and support each other in achieving our business goals.
In addition to these practical tips, I also addressed the challenges that women entrepreneurs may have faced in the digital age, and offered strategies for overcoming these obstacles.
Ultimately, my goal was to inspire and empower other women entrepreneurs to seize the opportunities presented by the digital age and build thriving, successful businesses. I was grateful for the opportunity to speak at the PWCC conference and looked forward to sharing my insights and experiences with fellow attendees.
